Designed by Lingjie AR.Design, the new flagship showroom for leading ceramic manufacturers in China introduces an innovative model of ‘quiet luxury.’ The firm rejects the typical grand gestures associated with high-end retail, redefining the space through a flowing architectural language, a humble material palette, and a calm, restrained presence on the street.
A Quiet but Glamorous Place
Standing as a low-key landmark at the end of a prominent urban area, the Lingji AR showroom embraces a counterintuitive strategy: achieving a “quiet presence” rather than visual dominance. Like a poetic architectural gesture, it remains quietly in tune with the city’s daily bustle. Avoiding an iconic or imposing aesthetic, the design team has crafted a concept that champions elegance and tranquility. The space is divided into two levels: the ground floor is dedicated to displaying and experiencing Progress ceramic products, while the upper floor accommodates administrative and office functions.
Spatial Freedom
Inside, the space unfolds like a fluid gesture, where architectural lines transition seamlessly from sharp angles to soft surfaces, offering moments that are dynamic yet calm. Visitors navigate intuitively, experiencing an inviting sense of ease rarely felt in traditional luxury retail.
“We wanted to dissolve the invisible pressure often created by high-end environments,” “the goal was a space where people feel completely free.” Said Chen Lingjie, Founder and Design Director at Lingjie AR. Design, and Lingjienei’s design team.
Tailored Functionality & Sensorial Experience
To maintain functional aesthetics, Lingjie AR. Design conceptualized a bespoke display system for the Pavilion. By seamlessly combining structural elements of warm timber with exposed ceramic pieces, the design introduces natural tactility, enriching the dialogue between surface and structure.
This brand doesn’t announce itself; it integrates quietly into the city. The design invites visitors not into a stage-set for luxury, but into a poetic, calm, and honest environment where the products and the experience speak for themselves.
