Design Thinking is an iterative process in which we seek to understand the user, challenge assumptions, and redefine problems in an attempt to identify alternative strategies and solutions that might not be instantly apparent with our initial level of understanding. At the same time, provides a solution-based approach to solving problems. Some of the world’s leading brands, such as Apple, Google, Samsung, GE etc. have rapidly adopted the Design Thinking approach, and Design Thinking is being taught at leading universities around the world, including Stanford, Harvard and MIT. The concept behind the competition 2018 was brought in line with Theme [DESIGN THINKING] by Chronos Studeos the organizers, to challenge the Nigerian students of architecture to be inventive.

The first section of the Creative Architects 2018 ended in utmost bliss and excitement. The event which took place at Muson Center, Lagos saw a large number of attendances as the winners of the competition emerged in flying colours with extra creative designs that delivered the top prizes of the competition to them. Phillip Awopetu, Olumide Omotoriogun and Holyvine Olukitibi collectively won the first position, Buhari Adamson, Ogunsola Timilehin and Awoyemi Oladimeji collectively won the second position while Stephen Haggai, Moses-brown Okorie and Oluwafemi Iranloye collectively won the third position. The event was braced by the industry top Guest Speakers in persons of Arc. Adeyemo Shokumbi of Patrick Waheed Design Consultancy Ltd, Arc. Hassan Anifowose of Chronos Studeos and great others.
