As hi first residential building project in New York City, Renzo Piano completed 565 Broome Soho, a luxury condominium building in the city. The aesthetic high rise building contains a total of 115 units, from studios to four-bedroom homes. What makes the design a unique one is the manner it comprises a pair of conjoined glass structures with curved corners that resulted in light-filled residences that offer encompassing views of the Hudson River, one world trade center and more. Piano imbibed a ‘low-iron’ glass with crystal-like sheen to achieve this, as clarity was selected for the external façade.

A global real estate firm Bizzi & Partners Development is behind the project, in partnership with Aronov Development and Halpern Real Estate Ventures, the project, 565 Broome Soho as it’s called, includes a private gated driveway with entrance to a covered porte-cochere. The building was also completed with the latest automated technologically inclined parking arrangement with 40 parking spots, and each is equipped with a full capacity electric charging station. The exclusive development seeks the significance of become the first high-end residential ‘zero waste’ building in New York City, defined as achieving more than 90% diversion of waste from landfills, incinerators, and the environment.

The wellness amenities on site includes a fitness center, a heated, 55-foot indoor swimming pool; changing rooms; steam rooms and sauna. Residents also enjoy a landscaped outdoor terrace, an interior landscaped lounge with 92-foot high ceiling and a live green wall, library and wet bar with additional conveniences that includes a children’s playroom, a 24-hour concierge and attended lobby, a common laundry room, and bicycle storage for up to 76 bikes.
