The trends of uncommon ideas from the inventive mind of a renowned Nigerian born architect, Arc Kunle Adeyemi and his NLE architectural firm are always innovative and solution based. The architecture, design, and urbanism practice NLE led by the world celebrated architect, known by his unique style, have started constructing a Floating Music Hub in Cape Verde, a country in the middle of Atlantic Ocean. Located in Mindelo Bay on the island of Sao Vicente, the NLE’s milestone development in the like of Makoko Floating System project which was first presented by the firm in 2013 will be opened to the public in December 2020.

The floating music hub is a prefabricated design that comprises three floating structures of different sizes as inventively conceived by NLE. Categorized based on sizes, the biggest size contains a multipurpose performance hall and the medium sized is a professional recording studio, while the smallest structure services as a bar. The whole structure as a triangular public plaza was purposed to promote music, dance, art and all other creative social activities in Africa and its diaspora.

According to NLE, ‘The significance of music in Cape Verde, its rich cultural history and its natural environment inspire this social and economic development strategy.’ ‘We are grateful for the collaboration of several local and international partners so far including JMP, CFA, SINA, AECOM, AISTER, KRJS and all our new Cape Verdean supporters and friends.’
